Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026

Properly Palmer (properlypalmer.com, “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by John Palmer Payne LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit this site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using properlypalmer.com, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact form. When you use the contact form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message. This is sent directly to our inbox by email — it is not stored in a database or shared with any third party beyond our own email provider.
  • Newsletter signup. When you subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address through Mailchimp, our email marketing provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
  • Comments. Comments include the name, email address, and website you provide, plus your IP address and browser user agent, to help detect spam.

Information collected automatically

  • Log data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically collects standard log information — IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visit, and referring site — for security and performance purposes.
  • Cookies. WordPress sets a small number of cookies for basic site functionality (for example, remembering if you’ve dismissed a notice, or session cookies if you ever log in). We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles unless noted in Section 2 below.

2. Analytics and Advertising

  • We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, time on site, general location). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as your IP address (which may be anonymized). You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • We may display third-party advertisements. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google AdSense

3. Affiliate Links

Some posts on this site contain affiliate links — including links to Amazon and other retailers. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are marked with a disclosure near the relevant content, in keeping with FTC guidelines. Clicking an affiliate link may set a cookie on the retailer’s website; we do not control how they use that data — see their own privacy policy for details.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to messages sent through the contact form
  • Send newsletter emails to subscribers who opted in, via Mailchimp
  • Maintain and improve the site’s performance and security
  • [Analyze site traffic, if analytics are enabled per Section 2]

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with the following third parties, each of which has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

6. Data Retention

  • Contact form messages are kept in our email inbox for as long as reasonably needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry.
  • Newsletter subscriber data is retained by Mailchimp until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time (via the unsubscribe link)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 10. Residents of the EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) may have additional specific rights under those laws.

8. Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
